WHEEL CHAIRS
With a good wheelchair costing from US $200 to over US $1000, we are looking not only to bring in wheelchairs from around the world, but to start training people here to do wheel chair maintenance..

TRANSPORTATION
Public transportation has improved tremendously over the years here in Colombia, but the masses of people that use that system make it very difficult for people in wheelchairs to get around the city to their appointments on time, especially in bad weather.The costs for a bus for the foundation could easily total $100,000 or more.

SPONSORSHIP
Many people with disabilities do not have a regular monthly income and depend on selling candies on the street or begging to supply for their family’s needs. $5 a day would help take care of many of the nutritional problems they have, which in turn would make them healthier.

DAILY MEDICAL NEEDS
There are many daily medical needs for the people we work with that are not covered under the insurance system here in Colombia. The monthly medical needs not covered by the insurance here is around $135. The needs range from $15 per item to $150 or more at times. Tubes of cream to help prevent bed sores come in small amounts but are very costly with many of the tubes lasting only a week or so.There are collector bags for those people who have no control of their natural body functions. These items are very costly. Each need is individualized, with some needs greater than others.

CONSTRUCTION
One of the main objectives for the foundation is to eventually build a home for the disabled here in Colombia. Land and property is not cheap here in Bogota. We have not yet received estimates for the cost of building a home and are presently looking for people in construction to help us with this big GOD-ordained project.

CUSHIONS
To help minimize bedsores for this group of people who spend most of the day in wheelchairs, it is very important to have the proper type of cushions to sit on while in their chairs. The cost of these cushions are very different ranging from $15 to $500 depending on the sensitivity of the skin of the person and the balance of the upper body while in the chair.

ADMINISTRATION
As in any organization, office equipment is needed, from paper to office machines like computers, printers, telephones etc.. etc.....We are in need of a person to care for the promotional items such as a website, and social forms of communication like Twitter and Facebook. Promotional items such as brochures, banners, and outreaches share about what God is doing, raising the awareness of the foundation's existence as well as building the financial base itself.
